For sale in Singapore's Chinatown yesterday. They're such lovely animals it makes me cringe to see them dead and dried like this. At Project Seahorse there is more information on the global health of seahorses and efforts to protect them.
My new favourite park in Singapore is Kent Ridge Park. It's quiet and close, with lots of large trees. There's also a short canopy walk. Kent Ridge was also a British Military installation during WW II and was the site of a bloody battle between the Japanese and British-led Malay soldiers.
Another shot from the Siak River, Sumatra. Stretches of the river were variously heavily peopled, industrialized, or just forest. And then you would catch a glimpse of a house, a boat, or in this case a mosque, at rest along the river's edge.
